Over the past three years, the Best Water Run has grown into a global move­ment. Launched as part of World Water Day, it has a clear mission: Raising aware­ness about the global water crisis. In many parts of the world, people still don’t have easy access to clean drinking water from a tap. Often, the nearest water source is an average of 6 kilo­me­ters away – a distance that many people have to walk every single day to collect fresh water. With the Best Water Run, we’re not only raising aware­ness – we’re sending out a powerful message. 100% of the dona­tions raised through the run go directly toward building new drinking water wells in Africa. At the Best Water Run 2026, 14.082 participants from 43 countries came together. We covered more than 80,000 kilometers – and raised over € 84.000 to fund new well projects.
