  • Lime: Limescale is a problem in areas with hard water because its presence damages household appliances.
  • Chlorine: When used as a sanitizing product, chlorine protects against bacteria; in drinking water, it affects the taste. 
  • Heavy metals:  Lead and other heavy metals can get into your drinking water through old pipes and represent a health risk.

Which filter is best for drinking water?

The BWT water filter jugs together with BWT filter cartridges and our kitchen taps with filters are all ideal filters for tap water.

How do I filter drinking water? 

To filter drinking water with a table water filter, simply fill the upper container with tap water and allow the water to flow through. The filtered drinking water is collected in the lower container. The process takes about five minutes.

Does it make sense to filter drinking water? 

It can be useful to filter drinking water to remove limescale, chlorine and other impurities. In any case, it makes sense to further enhance the water and add valuable minerals.
