LASK moved into its new home on Friday. The Raiffeisen Arena in Linz, which was raised in record time last year, shone in all its glory at the opening game last Friday, against Austria Lustenau. The enthusiasm of the fans was clearly noticeable and due to the gripping motivation of the players in the new home, LASK won with a score of 1:0.
A victory of many more victories - also for BWT! In addition to the unique pink BWT branding inside the stadium, which is intended to draw attention to BWT's vision - to "Change the World - sip by sip" - as a strategic partner of LASK, the entire soccer stadium was fully equipped with the patented BWT filter technologies. Water is filtered locally, mineralized with magnesium, zinc and silicate and thus becomes a tasty drinking pleasure directly out of the tap. This saves several thousand plastic bottles per match day. Another big step against the use of water in disposable bottles, as well as the transport and CO2 emissions that result.
"It is a pleasure for me to be present at the opening of the new LASK stadium on behalf of BWT and to make the world a better place, sip by sip, together with all the fans," said Beatrix Ostermann, Managing Director of BWT Austria. "We are once again setting a great example for sustainability and, by equipping the boxes, the BWT Business Club and the entire spectator area, we can appeal to many people to also integrate BWT technologies at home and thus save a lot of waste."
With around 45 taps in the lounges and the BWT Business Club area as well as the water supply in the athletes' cabins and the kiosks in the whole public area, Europe's No. 1 in water treatment succeeds in guaranteeing an all-round supply throughout the entire arena.
For the opening of the new stadium BWT donates 35.000€ to the AQUA Pearls For You and Planet Blue Foundation for the construction of wells in Gambia/Tanzania. This amount will be used to dedicate 5 new wells to the LASK team and the entire support team.
FOR YOU AND PLANET BLUE!
