BWT – Best Water Technology – Europe’s leading water technology company, and Lechner Racing are extending their successful partnership, further strengthening their commitment to performance, innovation, and sustainability.
.
Since 2018, this alliance has been a driving force in motorsport, continuously pushing boundaries on and off the track. In 2025, Windhager – Best Heating Technology (BHT) – joins as a partner, marking a significant milestone in this collaboration. With two leading Austrian brands backing an Austrian racing team, this partnership goes beyond competition – it’s about driving change and shaping a more sustainable future. For You and Planet Blue.
BWT Lechner Racing is the most experienced, renowned, and successful team in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup history, consistently competing at the highest level while developing young racing talent. In 2025, the team will race in eight events across Europe on iconic tracks. It will also continue in the prestigious Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, further expanding its global presence.
For the first time, Lechner Racing will field two distinct race cars, each representing the identity and values of its partner brands. Driven by the vision “Change the World – sip by sip,” BWT’s unique pink livery stands for more than just a color – PINK is an attitude. It stands for a commitment to a better world and a more sustainable way to consume water. The BWT Porsche will also proudly feature BWT DIAMOND MINERALIZED WATER, representing the art of hydration and the highest standard of water quality. Dutch sensation and reigning rookie champion Robert de Haan returns as the BWT driver, determined to fight for top results once again.
Making its Porsche Supercup debut, Windhager’s striking red livery symbolizes power, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology, with innovative biomass heating systems and heat pumps. Two-time French Porsche Carrera Cup champion Marvin Klein will take the wheel of the Windhager Porsche. Just as Windhager leads innovation in sustainable heating, its entry into the series reflects a relentless pursuit of progress and performance. This distinctive identity extends beyond the cars. BWT and Windhager’s bold designs are also showcased on race kits, helmets, and equipment, ensuring a unified and unforgettable image in motorsport and beyond.
Once again, BWT is bringing sustainability to the fast lane by providing its exclusive BWT Water Bar at every race. Drivers, team members, and guests will have access to locally mineralized, best-quality, healthy drinking water, enriched with valuable minerals like magnesium, zinc, and silicate. By eliminating single-use plastic and glass bottles and reducing CO2 emissions from transport and production by up to 80%, this initiative reinforces BWT’s commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable lifestyle.
This collaboration marks a new chapter in motorsport, combining cutting-edge technology with a clear vision for a better tomorrow. With BWT redefining hydration and Windhager advancing sustainable heating, the future knows no (speed) limits.
“BWT and Lechner Racing have been long-standing partners, united by a shared drive to push boundaries and achieve progress. With both companies based in Austria, we’ve always worked to strengthen each other’s success. Now, with Windhager joining the team, we’re combining Best Water Technology and Best Heating Technology to take our performance to the next level and promoting sustainability in action. Together, we’re setting new standards in motorsport and working toward a more sustainable tomorrow.
For You and Planet Blue”
Anna Grubeck, Head of Sportsponsoring BWT
“Going into season eight together in pink makes the whole team and me really proud. Adding a red touch will be a perfect fit for the original background of Lechner Racing, especially in this year’s 50th anniversary season.
Of course, there will be plenty of good reasons to celebrate together, and we will do everything in our power to succeed – both on and off track – when it comes to winning in sustainability.”
Robert Lechner, CEO and Team Principal of Lechner Racing
